1st & 2nd Gen Kindle Tips and Tricks: Google and You

It’s been a while since I posted any tips and tricks. In the past, I talked about the browser on the Kindle. It’s true the browser could be a lot better but you can get a lot of use out of it. Google helps you do just that.

Google has a number of free and useful sites that you can access. In some cases, they can replace the need for buying and using an application.

  • Gmail: free web based email
  • Google: search engine
  • Google Calendar: a free online calendar that makes it easy to keep track of important events
  • Google Documents: lets users view and share documents online
  • Google Reader: follow your favorite blogs, news feeds and web sites in one place
